Montador’s head hits added up

Steve Montador died unexpectedly Sunday in his home in Mississauga. Police did not suspect foul play when his body was found. He had a history of concussions. He suffered from depression. His friends said he battled demons. His hockey career was over. He was 35 years old.

For now, we’re left with the facts while his family, friends and former teammates mourn the premature passing of another professional athlete. There are more questions about Montador’s death than answers at this stage. Maybe people can make better sense of it all in the days and weeks ahead.
